Well hello school and world. I am very cautious about this 'Summer Blogging' especially after my teacher ms Aireen gave me the permission to blog whatever, seriously "Whatever" So... I'm just gonna go ahead and find out whether or not if I get in trouble for blogging inappropriate 'Unschooly Things'
A little something from my artsy blog... *freaking out* I don't usually do this....
Heres a story
So I started a drawing 'App' and one of the drawings I did was front page. (When your work gets to be on front page your reputation gets higher) And this particular drawing of which I am about to show got around 200+ likes and I leveled up really quick to level 7 (Am currently 9) So here it is.

Camp Blog - Task 0:CAMP REFLECTION: Cabin Night - Huriata Reflection
My Highlights! Cabin Night
It was during fiafia night that I had had a good night, I did not really have a good night, no, not at fiafia night. It was actually after the ceremony when we went back to our cabins to rest. If you'd would've known or been there 'Faith' a friend of mine that was in our cabin had performed more than two times that night. It was whilst being there that Faith had wanted to perform a song called 'One step at a time' though she wanted to do a duet, with me. I didn't feel like it, well, that and if I didn't want to do it I would've ruined her performance. So no! She did sing the song but when back in the cabins she felt so down... really down. She had wanted nobody to sing or say sing (Which, ah... NO! Because that was her own fault for making herself feel like that) She had eventually given up and our cabin were annoyed at her. We helped her out and sang with her. It was a magical, musical night as we sang songs and the whole cabin had a good night after learning about each other and being able to create a stronger bond(Other than the cabin next to us).
That was my highlight. I learnt that I am very supportive, forgiving and loud, I like making new friends but I also like making the right friends. The thing that I was surprised about me was how comfortable I was being with the girls in my cabin. We showed team at camp by being somewhat/ being involved. Well, we showed 'participating and contributing' by being involved in the activities we did. And for 'Relating to others' it was obvious everyone was very independent but tried to work together in there own way. Some skills I think I need to improve on is being more involved and share idea's, the relating to others is probably being able to coop and decide my own (something) that everyone agrees on!

Camp Blog - Task 8: VENN DIAGRAM... Before and After - Huriata Reflection
28/11/16
Well, for starters I am more daring to try something new and give it a go. On the first day of activities whilst at camp the confidence course and low ropes course really stood out as "Aw, that will be hard! I won't be able to do it" or "I can't do that! i'll let my team down..." to me.
I have more friends (The girls that were in my cabin) and know some more (Knowledge) about them, creating somewhat of a deeper bond and closer relationship. It was interesting, my journey with them has been bumpy and it really surprised me to know how we could make this bond stronger.
Ah.... Yes, I have gained knowledge about things i've never known! The first is that, I didn't know you had to cut off a sheep's tail! To know that I was like "Oh my god! Why would do that?!" and then I learnt 'Flystrike'. It was strange finding these bits of fluffy sticks known as sheep tails around the camp grounds.

Morning Activity_Learning Reflection with 'Ms Kyla' (Celebrating ME!!)
Huriata - H.P
Morning Activity - Learning reflection
Today me and my class members learnt why it was important to embrace ourselves and celebrate ourselves through written words (On a brainstorm/Piece of paper) During this students wrote five things about themselves as well as rotating around the class to say something about someone else in a positive manner, the things I've read so far on the piece of A3 substance I have was " Intelligent - Your brainy at learning" "Loyal friend you make me crack up" and "You are supportive of others"
I think it was important to recognise my own values because It say's a lot about who I am, not only that but I am then able to recognise others values and potential by understanding them with myself.
I feel satisfied with the activity we've just done because now I have a better understanding of how people view me (SMART) Yep! Satisfied.

Reflection - Camp Organizing (Cabins/dorms and teams)
11/11/16
This morning room nine and ten collaborated in miss Aireens class to decide on our cabin names and team names for the upcoming trip to Raglan in week seven. My cabin is 'Spiod' which stands for 'Spire People In Other Dorms', and the girls I'll be staying with are Paris, Rosemary, Khalicia , Helen, Lovey and Alone. I made the name in reference to the theme 'Relating to Others' in which everybody agreed on. For the teams I'm in Unstoppable, which is cliche seeing as another team is called the Unbreakables though I agreed and am quite pleased with the decision that we've made. Then after we were to do a brainstorm of what Participating, contributing and Relating to Others means to us.

Kiwi Sports - Basketball Reflection
Kiwi Sports - Basketball Reflection
It was around 10-11 that we headed down to the courts to do 'Kiwi Sports'
We meet our coaches and they explained how there was Basketball clubs around panmure/Tamaki district.
After that we just got right into it, Split ourselves into 5 teams , did relays, stepping, dribbling and under leg dribbling. It was really, no kidding (For me) difficult. Since I'm not one for sports I struggled to maintain the ball or control it. I got tired really quick and I decided that I would have a break and continue.
We were done. For the next activity we picked a partner (Mine was Lovey) and practiced passing in different ways. We stood afar from each other and waited for the whistle to blow. It started off with chest passes, where we would step forward to put more power into the through. Then we added another ball. This time one person threw overhead while the other did bounce passes, we did it in unison, keeping in time till the ball flew off or we forgot what we were doing.
Finally, the coach stopped us from our continuous passing game and we were split from boys to girls teams. Hoop shooting... *sigh* I walked towards the place I was supposed to stop and bent my knees, just. My arm was bent till it released it and threw the ball into the air. It missed, countless times.
I liked it though and I feel very tired.

Television Teaches Too!! Indigenous Television
Television Teaches Too!! Indigenous Television
- Sharon Parsons
This is one of the books I've read called 'Television Teaches Too' and it's about A woman named Sharon Parsons interviewing maori television about their shows and what they do.
Maori Television is our Indigenous t.v station where they have various shows expressing the maori language and culture, with documentaries, learning shows and other programs interacting with the maori world.
The chief executive, Jim Mather, thought it would be good and other television stations could get together to retain and grow indigenous language and cultures in 2008.
The key message that was made for maori t.v was that you needed to recognise our unique part of our identity by sharing out language and culture with the whole world/country.

Loud shirt day
Loud Shirt day
Loud shirt day is a day to have fun, celebrate and support deaf people through wearing a bright, loud T-shirt with a donation of a gold coin (Or notes). Kiwi kids in schools have loss of hearing and because of that they have a cochlear implant to help them hear a lot better. We can help by supporting and donating something to help other children within new zealand by wearing a sombrero or your most colorful clothing. YEAH!

Persuasive Writing - It is Wrong to Fight
WALT Write a Persuasive Writing
What do I think about this piece of persuasive writing?
I agree that It is wrong to fight and it is a negative way to solve things
___________________________________________________________________________________________
My most important reason is that it is a very negative solution to most problems. Physical contact or words could harm people mentally and physically causing the insult to expand or be isolated within the victim’s mind. Media is a commonly used thing today as well as phones, so an example could be cyberbullying which could be sent all around the world, that’s how it expands to being a viral situation. Now the world knows something new and bad things start to happen, police would be defensive and try to protect you but does that always work? That’s why it’s wrong to fight.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
I think that there are people who fight back and get injured even more, same with the words because they could be sent verbally or in person. And some people just don’t want to talk about it. For example, fighting would be a way to relieve stress or to show off as an intimidating person, which is a bad reputation to present yourself.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Relationship with people would be low and people would become more anti social towards each other. We have suspicion about the people we see/meet and there are times when people could be pulled into things such as fighting. You may be arguing for someone else or fighting in there place to protect them, but now the problem is bigger. The person you just protected would either fight with you or run away, if he fought the man would be beat and left alone or sent to the police, that or they might beat you both. If he/her ran, the innocent person who protected him/her may be beaten up, killed, hurt badly or sent running away. That’s not what we want the world where everyone's afraid of everyone because our earth wouldn’t be called home sweet home anymore.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
What do I think about this piece of persuasive writing?
It’s a stupid thing to do and it’s smart. I really want to persuade the audience into thinking that it is bad/wrong to fight, we want peace.

Persuasive Writing - It's Okay to be Different
It’s Okay to be Different
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Intro
In my opinion being different is okay and that we should show who we really are
____________________________________________________________________________________________
My most important reason is that people should not be embarrassed about being different, because being different is normal and that you shouldn’t try to be like everybody else. I think that when you are different it shows that you are unique and it makes you an interesting person out of other people.
For example, what if someone wanted to be exactly like you when they can’t, when they try to do what you do, when they try to think, see, feel what you feel, but they can’t. Because they are somebody with their own things, feelings, thoughts that nobody can do but you, because you are the only you.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
It’s the same with twins, they may look the same, and could probably think the same, but what about the other things. Twins can be the complete opposite of each other that they might not even look same, or like what the other likes. Because they’re different. Some twins actually hate each other for being the same, they try so hard to be different that they might even do something they won’t think the other would imagine. Now, just imagine that but all around the world. You will think, feel, do, change like everybody else, so much that everybody hates each other because if one person is angry, everybody is angry for the same reason.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
If a number, letter, character, species or universe is different, then imagine that you are one of those things. In one of those 5 subjects I gave you, there are countless things that you could’ve possibly been. Like a planet out of a trillion or a number out of various one’s in other cultures. See, you could mean the same thing but be completely different, so different that others would want to learn about you.
____________________________________________________________________________________________
I strongly believe that when somebody else is different or trying to be like you then they really should just be themselves, because not everyone want’s to be
the boring and most predictable person, that’s just a disappointing way to describe life as being interesting.

Olympic Athlete Uses The 3 Key Values
Learning Intention
IAL to explain how an olympic athlete has shown the 3 key values of ‘respect’, ‘excellence’ and ‘friendship’ at this year’s Rio Olympics.
- What does ‘excellence’ look like for an athlete? Provide examples and explain in detail.
- Why is ‘friendship’ one of the olympic values this year?
- What does respect look like for an athlete during the Olympics?
Olympic Athlete Uses The 3 Key Values
__________________________________________________________________________________
excellence
Luuka jones has shown ‘Excellence’ by doing her best in the olympic women's rowing singles and retrieving herself a silver medal and coming second for NZ. She looks pleased with her reward and is. In an interview after the match she has said that she had a very calm and confident mindset while doing very good runs. She gave herself some goals in the places which needed to be improved and worked on to become more excellent. She was a positive player in the rowing competition and didn’t mind that she didn’t come first, she was also supportive for the other competitors and will be training more for the next match.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Friendship
The reason ‘Friendship’ is apart of the Olympics is because they want a nice and kind spirited game, by they I mean the IOC. This makes opponents more comfortable and confident during the olympics and for a much more better performance. It doesn’t discourage the others and all are playing very equal. It’s for a much more peaceful and good environment.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Respect
Respect in the Olympics looks like people giving handshakes before and after their match. It’s to be honorable to the other opponent by being equally and respectful/kind to one another. This also symbolises friendship by being positive and by being a good sportsmanship. They respect each and everything because it’s like, being fair. You have to respect the rules that are there to follow and respect the environment and players for peaceful relationships with one another, also respecting other's culture and country.

My Group Article Review - Bloom's Taxonomy - Olympics
I was the leader for my group and it went really good. Everybody was working together and was happy with what they were given to work on, happy pupils means good work.
The skills that I used to understand the article were evaluating and skimming and scanning, I went through some sites and asked my group members (Sometimes helping group members).
The thing I will need to work on to improve in future task would be to use more vocabulary and make my work more confidently than rushing.
The picture is of the brainstorm that my group made with the news article in the middle and all the words, that described the whole thing from the various sites that I have search.

Technology Reflection - Cooking
Ok so today I have a new buddy in my technology class (Cooking class) named Rosemary and she’s one of my friends from school. Today we made banana cake and since I haven’t been at my class for the past three or two weeks I’ve forgotten some things. There are about 4 steps to make the Banana Cake, categorised instructions. I flicked the switch to the hot water and then we turned on the oven to 180 degrees. I wiped down the table and stuff, cleaned the windows, washed my hands, put an apron on and got out the things to make the banana cake. During the time when I was getting the ingredients I accidentally mixed the eggs with my sugar and cooking oil and all that stuff but I was supposed to take it to the table and put it in with the flour. Not only that but when I got back to my table the second time I didn’t put the right amount of flower in my bowl. My teacher came around, had a look in and she said that I didn’t do it right so I ran back and got a cup of flour and put it in there which made me happy because the texture was not so watery anymore but me and Rosemary got out cake mixture in last making our one last to pull out. Cleaning wasn’t all that slow (Rosemary’s slow at cleaning though) and our cake turned out really good. Today in the kitchen was a crisis but we survived with a delicious, stunning banana cake. YAY!
