SOS - Our Small World; Youth Challenge: Huriata

Tokelau is a very, small country. After it’s loss of land/ beach, it was replaced with stonewalls - I think it may be because of the water rising in the pacific ocean, causing the space on land to shrink. The dilemma with having such a small land, is also the problem of having a smaller population. It’s estimated that there is only 1,499 people of Tokelau. And now kids are having to migrate to other countries such as NZ, Australia and America to better their education. In most cases resulting with them not coming back. The Tokelau council are trying to find ways to bring their youth, or influence them to come back to Tokelau so that the culture doesn’t die out.
